Structured maintenance visits, seasonal pruning, soil care, irrigation management, and annual reviews — everything needed to protect your landscape investment over the long term.

A garden reaches its full potential not at the moment it is planted, but in the seasons that follow — as plants establish, fill in, and develop into the composition that was envisaged at the design stage. Reaching that point requires consistent, informed care in the intervening period.
Our maintenance service is designed to provide exactly that: scheduled visits by people who understand the design intent, the species involved, and the conditions of the specific site. We prune at the right time, manage irrigation as seasons change, monitor plant health, and make informed adjustments over time — treating the garden as a living project rather than a completed product.
Our maintenance service covers all aspects of ongoing garden care, structured around scheduled visits throughout the year.
Pruning carried out at the correct time for each species — shaping shrubs, cutting back perennials, and managing hedges to maintain the design.
Soil assessment, mulching, and targeted fertilisation to support plant health and maintain soil structure appropriate to the planting type.
Seasonal adjustment of irrigation timers and zones — increasing frequency in summer, reducing in winter, and inspecting for blockages or leaks.
Monitoring for common pests and diseases, with targeted treatment using appropriate products — prioritising low-impact and organic options.
Regular visits throughout the year timed to the garden's seasonal needs — with detailed notes on work carried out and any observations.
A yearly walk-through with the client to assess the garden's condition, review what is and is not performing well, and agree any adjustments for the season ahead.
A straightforward process to get your garden on a structured maintenance schedule.
We visit the garden, assess its current condition, record all species and their health, and note any immediate priorities before the programme begins.
We produce a written maintenance programme setting out the frequency and content of each visit across the calendar year, tailored to the specific garden.
The programme is reviewed with the client and adjusted to match their priorities and budget. A schedule of visits and associated costs is confirmed in writing.
Visits are carried out as scheduled. Notes are kept after each visit and shared with the client — recording what was done and any observations about the garden's condition.
Between scheduled visits, we are available to advise on any issues that arise — storm damage, pest outbreaks, or unexpected changes in plant health.
Each year concludes with a review visit. The programme for the following year is agreed, updated to reflect how the garden has developed, and confirmed in writing.
Visit frequency depends on the garden's needs and the level of programme selected. A typical programme includes 8 to 12 visits per year — more frequent in spring and autumn when growth is active, less frequent in the heat of summer and the quieter winter period. We agree the programme with you in advance and can adjust it if circumstances change.
Yes. We take on maintenance for gardens designed by others and for gardens with no prior professional involvement. In these cases we begin with a thorough assessment to understand what is present, what is in good condition, and what may need attention before establishing a regular programme.
Yes. Checking and adjusting the irrigation system is part of the standard programme — we inspect for blocked emitters, check pressure, and adjust timers seasonally. If significant irrigation work is needed (such as adding zones or replacing components), this is quoted separately as a one-off task.
Yes — we can begin a maintenance programme at any point in the calendar year. The initial assessment identifies any immediate priorities that may need attention before the regular schedule begins, and the programme is then structured from that point forward.
We work on an annual programme basis but are flexible in practice. Changes to visit frequency or scope can be agreed at any point, and programmes can be paused or discontinued with reasonable notice. We do not lock clients into long-term contracts — we prefer to earn continued engagement through the quality of the service we provide.
